What is BRUTTUS?
BRUTTUS is a jewelry brand based in Germany. Our first collection combines Gibeon meteorite, Akoya pearls, and 925 sterling silver in a bracelet, necklace, and pair of earrings.
Is the meteorite real?
Yes. We use Gibeon meteorite sourced from Namibia. Its natural pattern and surface vary from bead to bead. We keep supplier documentation for the materials we use.
What is Gibeon meteorite?
Gibeon is an iron meteorite found in Namibia. It contains iron and nickel and is known for the Widmanstätten pattern, the intersecting lines that form as the metal cools slowly in space.
Will my piece look exactly like the photographs?
The design and materials will be the same. Meteorite patterns and pearl surfaces vary naturally, so the small details of your piece may differ from the photographs.
What pearls do you use?
Collection 001 uses cultured Akoya pearls. Their pale lustre contrasts with the dark meteorite. Small differences in surface, shape, and tone are natural.
What does 925 sterling silver mean?
925 sterling silver contains 92.5% silver, combined with other metals for strength. We use it for chains and other components according to the design of each piece.
Can I wear meteorite jewelry in water?
Keep BRUTTUS jewelry dry. Remove it before showering, swimming, using a sauna, or exercising. The iron in meteorite can oxidize when exposed to moisture, and pearls need protection from chemicals.
How do I care for my jewelry?
Wipe it gently with a soft cloth after wearing and store it separately in a dry pouch or box. Keep perfume, lotions, alcohol, and cleaning products away from it. Use a silver polishing cloth only on the silver parts. Read the material and care guide.
Can meteorite rust?
Yes. Gibeon meteorite contains iron, which can oxidize if it stays damp. Avoid water, sweat, and humid storage. If you notice a change in the surface, contact us before trying a cleaning treatment.
Is this collection nickel free?
No. Gibeon meteorite naturally contains nickel. Meteorite jewelry may not be suitable for people with a nickel allergy. The meteorite beads are rhodium-coated, but the underlying Gibeon contains nickel. The use of sterling silver components does not make the whole piece nickel free.
Will the silver tarnish?
Sterling silver can tarnish over time through contact with air, moisture, and cosmetics. Gently polish the silver parts with a suitable soft cloth, keeping polishing products away from the meteorite and pearls.
Are the earrings heavy?
The complete pair weighs approximately 6.3 g, excluding packaging. Comfort depends on what you usually wear.
What is the design ratio?
The bracelet contains 4 Gibeon meteorite beads and 2 Akoya pearls; the necklace contains 6 and 3. The complete pair of earrings contains 2 meteorite beads and 2 Akoya pearls.
Are the pieces handmade?
The pieces are assembled and finished in small batches. Natural differences in the meteorite and pearls give each finished piece its own surface details.
Does my order include an authenticity certificate?
We keep supplier documentation and material information. Any certificate, card, or document included with a particular product will be stated on its product page. Contact us if you need more information before ordering.
Where do you ship?
We ship from Germany to Germany, Switzerland, the United States, Australia, Hong Kong SAR and Singapore, where a shipping option is available at checkout. Other EU destinations are not currently open for orders. Read the shipping policy.
How much is shipping?
DHL Premium delivery in Germany is EUR 5.90, or free from EUR 199 after discounts. International prices and free delivery thresholds depend on the destination and delivery method. The shipping policy lists the current market prices. Your final shipping charge is shown before you place your order.
When will my order arrive?
In stock orders are normally processed within 1 to 3 business days. Estimated carrier transit after dispatch is 2 to 3 business days in Germany. International transit varies by destination and service. See the shipping policy for each option. Founder Delivery is available in Germany only and is arranged directly after purchase.
Will I receive tracking?
Where tracking is available, we send the details to the email address on your order after dispatch. It can take a little time for the carrier to show the first update.
Will customs charges apply?
International orders are shipped Delivered at Place (DAP). For deliveries outside the EU, import duties, import VAT and carrier clearance fees may apply. They are not included in product or shipping prices and must be paid by the recipient. See the shipping policy.
Can I return my order?
Eligible distance purchases have a 14 day right of withdrawal. The return process, timing, costs, and any applicable exceptions are explained in our returns and withdrawal policy. You can also use the withdrawal form.
Can earrings be returned?
Standard earrings are not automatically excluded from withdrawal. If a specific product has a sealed hygiene exception, its conditions will be communicated before purchase. Our returns policy explains the applicable rules.
What if an item arrives damaged or incorrect?
Contact us with your order number and a description of the issue. Photos of the piece and packaging help us understand what happened. Keep them while we look into it. Your statutory rights are unaffected.
Can I change or cancel an order?
Contact us as soon as possible and include your order number. We will check whether a change or cancellation can still be made. Once an order has been dispatched, the returns and withdrawal process may apply.
Do you offer exchanges?
We do not currently process direct exchanges. You can follow the applicable return process for the original piece and place a separate order for the piece you want. Your statutory rights are unaffected.
Do you offer preorders?
If a piece is offered as a preorder, its product page will say so and give the applicable processing or shipping information. Do not assume that an item is a preorder unless it is clearly marked.
Will sold out pieces return?
A piece may be restocked, depending on material availability and production. We cannot promise that every design will return. Join our mailing list for news of future releases.
Will future collections use pearls?
Pearls are part of Collection 001. Meteorite remains central to BRUTTUS, and future collections may explore other materials. We will share the details when a collection is ready.
